While I think punctuality is very important, but not just entering office early matters, ensuring you are completing your work and leaving office on time also matters.
As a founder, if you are leading by example, you are also setting a precedent, hence coming early but leaving late sets an expectation for everyone to work long hours which is not necessarily productive or good for the mental and physical well-being of the employees in the long run.
Also, you can reach early to the office because you can afford to. You have your own driver and car, a lot of employees may have to travel for 1-2 hours in public transportation and also do household chores because they don’t have domestic help like you do. So having some flexibility in office start time also matters.
Culture is not set by coming on time, but creating a safe environment for employees.

For those people who are thinking this is a pressure, let me tell you that he said he enters office early, which can also mean he leave early than usual. I have seen people coming at 7am and leave by 4pm where usual majority comes at 9-6 jobs.

Well he is earning more than anyone else in the company so he definitely needs to be in the office early and probably leave late on the other hand where people who are working for them is getting limited paycheck and has no unlimited earning opportunities so its better they can leave on time and enjoy their other half day…

In our medical field when you enter OPD first, your admins are happy that there are no patient outcry. your juniors are happy you cleared the OPD.... No one takes a lesson/ compliment Sometimes people let you keep leading all alone😢

This guy might be successful but he is one of the worst people i have worked with, he abuses his staff and fires anyone on short notice. Don't work for zomato they have a horrible work culture

Zomato has cheated me. The delivery boy didn't came the my address and returned the same to India restaurant. We never cancelled the order. But my money has been cheated.
