Hi. My grandmother has Medicare part B only and currently she is receiving 80/20 of payments at her current nursing home for financial obligations. Does the 100 days begin from the current day she was admitted considering she was hospitalized and in a previous rehabilitation institute?

This country treats its elderly like garbage and no one fights for them. It’s appalling.

Where do they put people with alcohol problems that can't be taken care of at home by family?

I had to appeal their decision to stop paying 15 days after my mother had hip surgery. I lost the appeal.

Here's a question.. what happens AFTER 100 days? Do they take people and dump them into an active volcano? From what I have found, after the first 20 days, the patient is responsible for $120 per day. After 100 days, the patient is responsible for $170 per day. That is just the DEDUCTIBLE! The facility is getting between $500 and $700 per day to babysit a person laying in bed and to feed them pudding and baked beans and give them a bath once a week. That is obscene!
