I just broke up with my girlfriend of two years over money. I work at Microsoft here in Seattle and she was a model / actor etc. I make 140k a year, she made abut 35k. We had a joint account to cover mutual expenses rent utilities etc. But then she started to feel entitled to some of my earnings I disagreed. It was liken onto a sugar daddy mentality and I put an end to it. Am I wrong for doing this? We tried talking it out, she wants me to support her life style, i told her she needs a job that can better support a future family. Is it worth saving?

As long is there is active communication then everything else will follow. I find it strange when people grasp on to their money in a relationship. If you already know you want to spend the rest of your life with a person, the money shouldn’t be an issue. It does suck when things happen and one of the partners is unemployed. As long as you’re always communicating and understanding then you’ll be fine.
