Mass Effect - What Happens If You DON'T RECRUIT WREX???
Показать описание
In this video I'll show you what happens if you don't recruit Wrex in Mass Effect.
MASS EFFECT - WHAT IF YOU DON'T RECRUIT GARRUS?
MASS EFFECT SECRET DIALOGUE - WHAT IF YOU RECRUIT LIARA AFTER VIRMIRE / NOVERIA / FEROS?
Wrex is one of two optional companions in the first Mass Effect game, with the other one being Garrus. During your investigation on the Citadel, you will be directed to speak with either Wrex or Garrus about a Quarian who supposedly had evidence against Saren. In this playthrough, I found Garrus and followed his leads to save Tali and her evidence.
When you confront Fist about Tali, if Wrex is in your crew he will automatically kill him. Without Wrex, you will have the option to spare him.
After exposing Saren’s cooperation with the Geth to the Council, Wrex will be waiting for us by the Docking Bay elevator in C-Sec, and our first order of business is his contract on Fist.
Even though we spared Fist, Wrex still congratulates us on getting the job done. Strange. Wrex will still be available to recruit after this conversation and you can find him in Chora’s Den in The Citadel Wards.
Other than his obvious absence during missions and squad banter, the first noticeable difference happens on Virmire. When Shepard and crew set out to destroy Saren’s Krogan breeding facility, there is no one to protest, no big confrontation.
At this point, Ashley usually suggests you go talk to Wrex because she senses he’ll be a problem, but without Wrex she will just have some light banter with Kaidan.
There are also some ramifications of not recruiting Wrex in Mass Effect 2.
If you finish Mass Effect without recruiting Wrex, your first opportunity to learn about his fate happens during a conversation with The Illusive Man. When discussing your old squad, you can ask about Wrex, even though you never recruited him.
But when you eventually make it to Tuchanka, Wrex is nowhere to be found. Without having the street cred of defeating Saren, Wrex was unable to take a leadership role in the clan. His brother Wreav will be at the head of Clan Urdnot instead.
Wrex's name will come up in conversation during Mordin and Grunt's loyalty missions but none of the dialogue is unique to this scenario. It’s like the game doesn’t know what to do. Usually when Wrex is alive, he is at the head of Clan Urdnot, so characters like Maelon and the Illusive Man speak as if this is the case. But Wrex isn’t in power and characters like Wreav speak of him in the past tense like he is dead.
And that’s basically it. Clan Urdnot is left in worse hands with Wreav at the helm. Wrex is nowhere to be found and no one really speaks about him. Mass Effect is definitely less exciting without Wrex, so I’ll never skip out on him again.
