You need to react to the full version of this song, which is really good. Truthfully...

The full length version has one of Jimmy's best solos. You're a great reactor.

You need to find the whole version. Jimmy's solo is mind blowing with chills.

As everyone here has said, this is only a portion of the song, 'No Quarter'. The video you watched was only 3 minutes of the 12 minute performance. The original vids uploaded by the Youtube community of many Led Zeppelin performances have been gradually removed from YT. This is due to copyright. If you keep digging on YT, you can find the full 12 minute 1973 Madison Square Garden performance. Another way is to purchase the entire 1973 concert-film called: "The Song Remains The Same" on DVD, Blu-Ray, etc. Love your thoughts and reactions. tc, and best of luck.

Yes, this is the short version, you have to listen to the extended one

The long video is on YT. I saw it a couple days ago. It has Robert's fantasy sequence in it.

The best thing about the big 3, Zep, Sabbath and Deep Purple was that they were all better live than on record. 💗

The actual song from 1973 is over 13 minutes long, but the actual video of the performance is very hard to find on YouTube

The guitar solo in the part you didn't show may be the best in the history of music.

Hope you check out the full version! With a fantasy sequence in which John Paul Jones is the protagonist

My apologies, Steph, I just checked and, yes, the song IS that short! Dammit, Led Zeppelin's official site has begun to cut tf out of a lot of the songs that it offers for youtube. End of an Era, I guess. So yeah, you were right to think the vid had ended when those ads came on, lol! I just thought they were coming on in the middle of the video. Anyhow, I would suggest you just listen to the audio version of this same live 1973 version. It will still put you in a trance, and Jimmy's solo is gorgeous! You may also be able to see the whole video from youtube's "Movies and TV" channel, which has the entire Zeppelin concert movie this was taken from "The song remains the same." Sorry for the long comment, but getting Zeppelin right is worth it, lol, as are your terrific reactions! 😊😊

Yes in the begining his voice going through a electronic effect (phaser?)of sort to create a somber intro of opening lyrics.. Your listening to shortened version.. it gets deeper..

I saw them do this at the Hardrock Manchester in '72. Never heard anything like it done live.

When I hear this song, I think of something that would set up a scene in a horror or mystery movie I get a picture of walking through a haze covered cemetery or swamp. 😂😂
Great reaction
