How to invisibly decrease stitches (dec) in crochet

In this video, I'll show you how to do the invisible decrease (dec) when crocheting in the round. The invisible decrease is an important technique if you want your amigurumi to have clean edges. This technique slightly differs from a regular decrease stitch, which is also abbreviated dec, because the invisible decrease blends in much better with other stitches, and is not obvious to the trained eye.

Tell me why I was convinced that this was done through the back loops rather than than the front loops despite learning from this exact video over a month ago 💀 No wonder I’ve been having so much difficulty when decreasing.

That’s the first time in any video I can find that shows me the right place to put the next stitch in. 🎉🎉maybe now my count will be right 😂. Thank you soooo much. My order is coming. Practicing till then!

Man its so confusing that there's apparently so many different ways to decrease! I've done a couple crochet works in just over a yr. I finished a big turtle which was alot of fun seeing it come together, but boy did I start, restart, n again going back pulling rows, etc. Between making the right moves n controlling tension, then a couple days of not working on it n sometimes I take a couple rows out! 😅 but now I'm doing a big Pokémon n it's got so many pieces n trying to decrease is making me confused. But I've also learned to do this 2 front stitch pickup too n didn't know where to put the next full/reg stitch, so I'm glad I found ur video, it makes the most sense to me, now only if I was further along than where I'm at! 😅 thank u!!

Do you go to the same hole for the next stitch even if you have another decrease stitch next? Or only if it a single?

So, do you keep doing this invisible decrease stitch for the whole round?

I just crocheted all parts of an amigurumi using the regular decrease. I wish I had watched this video before 😅
