Rare 1960 Studebaker Lark Regal VIII Convertible at Country Classic Cars

I thought you might like a look at this very nice 1960 Studebaker Lark Regal VIII convertible. It's powered by the original 180 horsepower 259 Cubic Inch Studebaker V8. The paint is slick, the interior looks like new...this on is ready to go. This particular model is fairly rare, so it's not likely that you'll run into another one. It's a nice compact car, that gets pretty decent gas mileage for a V8, at over 20 mpg. This is a car that you could use every day if you liked, or just as a weekend cruiser. I hope you find it interesting, thanks for taking a look!

Shout out to South Bend, Indiana! I always love seeing Studebakers that came from my hometown!

Wow! What a treat. That was the year I graduated from high school, so I remember these well.

That is a very clean, straight and collectible car.

Love those little Larkvertables and that's a great color combination. They are rare but there are a few around, I've seen maybe a half dozen or so, but then I've been known to go to Studebaker meets.

And yes, that IS a car you could drive every day, it gets good gas mileage, mechanical parts are easy to get and the Studebaker Drivers Club is huge and so there is lots of support.

1960 was the first year for the Lark convertible. That 259 V8 packed a lot of punch for this small car.

What a find, I love this video. Great looking car, and a V8 only makes it better. We can watch Cameros, and Mustangs all over Youtube, but only you bring us the rare ones we will never see in person. Love it !

Studebaker should never have disappeared. In my long life I had about 15 Studebaker cars. I had a Lark V8 259 year 1960, with automatic transmission. This car won by far in acceleration and top speed to any Chevrolet V8 283 or Ford V8 292 of that time.
I also had a Golden Hawk 1957, 400 series, with V8 289 Supercharged engine and automatic transmission. With that car I beat any Mustang or Camaro, who started arriving in Chile in 1965. Although after Studebaker disappeared I had Mercedes Benz, BMW and VOLVO cars, I still remember the Golden Hawk as my best car.
An uncle of mine was the main Studebaker dealer in Chile.
Another memory: the first time I saw an automatic car was a 1950 Commander. It was a big impression.
My first car was of course a Studebaker: a 4-door Commander 1947 very well equipped for the time: it had radio, heating, Overdrive, Hill Holder and Limited Slip Differential. There was no other car, however much more expensive, that offered so much equipmen

Studebaker should have never died. They were quite dependable.

It would be interesting to know how many of these are still around, my guess is not many. Thanks for showing.

looks almost like old Mercedes styling inside, very nice! that thing's a rarity that I've never, ever seen in person. There are some car shows coming up around here, though, so who knows what I'll come across. Cheers Jeff

How do they get these cars so close to each other?
