Skimmed over the animal part. No details on the processing of that?

At choir practice one evening I mentioned that I had gathered some marshmallow seeds by the Saint Johns river, and was trying to start them in the soggy ground by my airconditioner drain. I got looks as though I was insane. I said, "You do know that marshmallow is a plant, don't you? The confection was named after the plant whose roots were used for the thickener before they started using gelatin." That is how far removed we are from where and how our food is made. Other related mallows: hibiscus, hollyhock, rose of Sharon...

A friend who is a truck driver was to haul a load of marshmallows from the factory in the mid-west to the west coast. He had to take a route through the desert southwest instead of over the Rockies because the lower air pressure would have caused them to expand and damage the trailer.

He covered the story of the marsh mallow plant too too briefly.

My parents made marshmallow bunnies back in the early 80’s for Easter one year, they were so popular they were still making them 8 weeks after Easter. They never ate a marshmallow ever again after that😹😹😹

I was at a cookout once, and while toasting marshmallows, a friend from Norway said, "When I was in school, they gave us these and told us these were American candy. I was not impressed. They didn't TELL us what you DO with them!"

There are so many errors in the narration of this video that it would have been better silent. People really should stick to making videos about things they actually know.

Animal bones, Cartilage, Tendons, Sinew!!! Please if you have a heart there are vegan marshmallows made from actual gelatin!! Trust me they're much better and you don't have to think of what you're eating without throwing up😀

Nasty. I dont do dead flesh or bones leftover also rarely eat store bought cheese cause it made from dead animal stomache scrapings. The ( rennet) eww. I make my own mozzarella from nonhomoginized whole milk and white vinegar to replace the rennet.
