It’s actually the Dutch flag! (flag of the Netherlands) 🇳🇱

The French flag has the stripes vertical! 🇫🇷

The Netherlands is a country next to England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 There is some sea in between the two countries, but only like 250 miles or so.

They're not "having the same flag." All three flags were designed independently and the color similarities are completely coincidental.

Not to mention, the bars on France's flag are columns, not rows like Russia and Netherlands. And those two flags have the colors in different orders. So, it's false to say they're the "same flag."

Plus, the chosen colors all represent something.

Russia: the white color symbolizes nobility and frankness; the blue for faithfulness, honesty, impeccability, and chastity; and the red for courage, generosity, and love.

Netherlands: The red band symbolizes bravery, strength, valor, and hardiness; the white band, peace and honesty; and the blue band represents vigilance, truth, loyalty, perseverance, and justice.

France: The three colours are occasionally taken to represent the three elements of the revolutionary motto,  liberté (freedom: blue),  égalité (equality: white),  fraternité (brotherhood: red).
