Spidey is the equivalent of that one nice guy everyone knows who is always jovial and well meaning, even when you badmouth him or tease him a bit, but every once and a while someone mistakes this as weakness and tries to actually punk him.

A really cool detail I love is Spider-man is rocking on black panther so hard, he instictively catches Hawkeyes arrow without even pausing, only then did he notice it was a bait. So fair play to Hawkeye for that one, at least he knows spidey would probably outclass his shooting reflexes and strength unless he got the drop on him.

There's a reason Nick Fury stated that if Spiderman ever turned, he'd be the greatest threat he's faced, he considers Spiderman abilities as they're known, aswel as knowing he's holding back, adding to the fact Peter is easily genius level intellect, this all scares Fury, he even said if Peter cut his jokes and BS, he'd be something else entirely

A lot of heroes underestimate spidey because of how he "appears." You can always expect him to make quips during fights, almost as if he's not taking it seriously. Fortunately, even the villains bought it. In a way, spidey is taking the "appear weak when you are strong" quote to a whole new level.

I don't get this. Spider-Man has better feats than many other Superheroine in Marvel and yet people keep downplaying him. Heck, Spider-Man has faced top-tier heroes and villains and still came out on top without prep or enhancement.

Man, every hero forgets that Spider-Man has a bigger Rogues gallery than all of them and he's the only hero to have a team of supervillains put together for the sole purpose of fighting him. If that doesn't scream underestimated, I dunno what does.

One of the best things about Spider-man is the fact that he’s experienced at giving a portrayal of himself. He’s spent decades crafting an image of a goofy quipping New-Yorker so that you don’t see what’s underneath. But in the moments he lets the mask slip, you see the calculating experienced pro who has been doing this shtick for decades. It’s like Egghead once said “There is nothing more scary that a silent Spider-Man”, because when Spider-man goes quiet, you know you’re about to get curb-stomped with no mercy.

it make sense, that BP has trouble with Spider-Man, I know, that the writers doesn't care about power level in comics, but consistently, Peter should be in the top of street-level tier.
