Mercedes Stephenson speaks to Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland in the wake of explosive testimony in two parliamentary committees investigating sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.

When asked if the government will apologize to women for not taking more action, Freeland says, “…no woman serving Canada should be sexually harassed while doing that. And I'm happy right now today to apologize to any woman who was sexually harassed while serving her country.”

Also on the show is special advisor to the director-general of the World Health Organization Dr. Peter Singer to talk about the global COVID-19 pandemic and vaccine equity.

Her talking points make me sick. Every response... step 1. deep breath, step 2. "again Mercedes" step 3. "speak slow and say how much confidence you have". What a disgrace. These are your leaders Canada... Enjoy the festering and decay of your system from within.

12:30 "shouldn't the prime minister have been informed?"
"we have problems." - that doesn't answer the question. that doesn't even touch on the question.

14:30 "shouldn't the minister of defense looked at his email?"
"it's very difficult." - looking at an email is difficult? good enough for government work.

great questions, however the interviewer gave up to quickly to get an answer. when the deputy prime minister avoided the questions the interviewer needed to press the issue. we all know the mainstream media is simply a tool used by corporations (as is government) to secure wealth by manufacturing consent.

This is total garbage. The Canadian Forces is merely a cross section of the Canadian public from which it draws its personnel. I understand they are trying to manufacture a story in order to titillate viewers, but I did not encounter the type of misconduct they are talking about on a regular basis. It has never been a part of "military culture", nor was it tolerated. I spent 35 years in the military and the reprobates in this story are not representative of the people that I served with. There were certainly dimwits or goofs, but on a scale commensurate with the general public.
