The Low Roman Workbench

A look at my version of the low roman workbench I built out of construction 2X4's. This allows me to do my hand tool work indoors and I can sit comfortably while doing so. Inspired by Rex Kruger but with my own spin on it.

I need to build a small bench. Your video gives me some direction to the path I want to take. Thanks!

Hi. I'm about to move and may need to give up my current workbench so am looking at smaller alternatives. The legs on your bench don't appear to be splayed at all. Have you encountered any stability issues because of that? I do like the idea of an apron. And if you have a jack plane, I suggest you buy an extra iron, chamber it, open up the throat, and attack your bench top with that. I have a scrub plane, and it's the least used plane I've got. Nice job, sir.

Fantastic.👏 I’m also designing a variation of the low Roman bench. It’s great to find someone with a similar ambition. How’s the comfort when you sit on it?
