I watched your 2d unity RPG tutorial back in 2018-2019 or so (when I viewed it, I believe you released those videos even earlier) and I am now a comp sci major in college. This is by far the simplest toon shader setup, while still looking great! Thank you for putting this together. How simple would it be to add some normal map information to this shader? I ended up making something similar, but I'd like to incorporate the normals for a bit more texturing

Hello, just wanted to ask how could you make it where the shadows casted by an object or any baked lighting affects the shader as well? I've been trying to make a cellshading shader for the environment as well but I cannot find any resources online on how to do that.

Well done :D thank you so much. a question I have is that sometimes for example my trees would switch on and off their shadow from no celshading shadow to celshading shadow back and forth really quickly. What could be good solution so it looks more natural and smooth

Are you using URP render pipeline to get those shadows? For me no light sources work except for sun and direction lights, and no post processing works for me.

I can't find the Main Light Direction node, I checked my pipeline, it is URP. Does anyone know what the problem is?

James,

I've used your tutorials and courses for a while, and enjoyed them. However, given the change in Unity, I worry I've wasted years learning something that now is monetarily not a viable option anymore. I want to switch to Godot, but I worry I've wasted time with the wrong program and starting over from scratch will end my motivation. Do you have any courses on Godot or any way to help?
