ULTRA LIGHT Ultra Portable Gouache Plein Air Painting Setup - Fits In A Fanny Pack!

Need help and motivation to get out and paint more? Perhaps a smaller lighter set-up is all you need! I designed this ultra-light thumb-box to help myself go out and paint wherever, whenever. I'm primarily a gouache plein air painter, but you can use this for any portable medium. Everything I need fits in a fanny pack!

I’m considering making something between this and the James Gurney setup. This is so tight!

Try adding another fold out on the other side so that your palette will rest more on your forearm and not be torqueing against your thumb. Most people don't realize that bigger oil painting hand palettes are actually made to rest on the forearm.

Hey.. was that white duct tape on the bottom of the paint pallet that you clipped down to the board? I have the portable painter set up now. Love it, but I think I will break out the white duct tape.
