This almost same thing happened a few years ago in Galveston TX...Guy had to pay for a child that was not his biological because he found out after the child was over 5 years old. Judge said the child only know him as the father so he was stuck paying child support. Guys be carful who you laying down with and having babies with.

There should be mandatory paternity testing for this system to be fair. It makes sense to not sleep around with any and any one.

This is insane there should be more laws protecting men in these situations. My hubby found out one of his “daughters” was not his and paid child support all throughout. Some of these women should be held accountable for lying and men shouldn’t have to pay support for a child that’s not biologically his.

they should have DNA testing for every newborn child because let's be honest some women really don't know and they are hoping, guessing, wishing that he's the father.

I SIMPLY CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED. I feel for the child. Judge could deem this man, as the father, morally but take him off child support!

I wonder why when the woman found out he wasn’t the dad why she didn’t go drop the child support. To me that’s completely dirty and for these states to hold the man accountable when you know for sure he isn’t the dad

I know someone who did the signing of paternity though he knew he wasn't the father. The baby was the result of a rape. The woman and him met had met just before it, they were in the service together and had fallen in love. When the baby was born the family, because they didn't know him at all, convinced her to put father unknown on the birth certificate. Turns out he was a good guy and understood. A year later they married, and he signed the certificate. As far as I am concerned, he is an angel sent from heaven. He is my grandson-in-law, and we all love him to pieces. The child looks just like him and their second child looks just like mom. They have been married almost 11 years.

Title 4-D. A judge's retirement is based upon the reimbursed child support to the state. Judges are financially incentivized to place and keep men on child support regardless of paternity.

He should have appealed the decision. And took it back to court. A judge can't morally choice to make any man the father that is not biological his. There is no such law. His lawyer if not should have appealed the decision and the biological mother should been ordered to repay any and all money that was spent on the child.
Cause in theory if he was the father the court would had him pay arrears for the 5 years. This system needs to reformed.

Court decisions definitely contribute to the toxicity of some relationships. I don’t think he or any person should be forced to take care of a child that is not biologically theirs. The gall of these judges.

Because he signed wouldn't that make him the legal parent and responsible financially even if biological father is known and present. I'm from Louisiana that is how our system works

She's gonna sit there and act like she doesn't know what title 4-D is, And why he was forced to continue to pay for a child that wasn't his. Every penny paid in child support is reimbursed to the state. That money is part of a judge's retirement

Since the Judge wants to hold up the AOP for him to be morally responsible to pay support, she should pay the support then. That seems crooked As Hell! 😳
