I suggest using a cross body bag rather than a backpack when walking around. Europe is known for pick pockets. If you do need to use a backpack keep it on your chest rather than on your back.

Thanks Christina! Great video as always 😊

Thank you, these are really good tips! I would recommend bringing some kind of a hat too! The sun is so intense, especially in the south of Europe.

We are planning our 2-week trip for next year. I challenged myself - made a realistic list of what to pack for 7 days with the intention of doing laundry halfway. I am proud to say I was able to cram - I mean fit - everything into my carry-on! I will need to bring my toiletries and make-up in my “personal” bag. No cubes for me, but I did roll.

Packing scarves is a great travel tip. When travelling through Italy, it was hot so I either wore a longer skirt with a tank top or a tee shirt with a skort. When going into a cathedral, the scarf, would either cover my shoulders or I would tie it around my waist like a sarong to cover my knees. Also scarves are awesome for accessorizing and hiding stains😊

t-shirts are perfectly fine. many people on a daily basis will wear jeans & t-shirt or a crop top. I think this will be the most common combo. the nice, flowy clothes are what you'd wear for work or an evening out, but to run everyday errands Europeans will get jeans, t-shirt (or sweatshirt in colder days) and sneakers. we are not that fancy.

Your shirt is super cute!

Wool really is the way to go. I have worn my wool dress in 100+ degrees in the summer and it was just as cool as wearing my cotton stuff.

Great tips. Off to Poland soon and staying at Airbnbs that have washing machines. Also taking some laundry detergent sheets. Love those merino wool outfits, must look into those. 👏🇦🇺

Thanks for all the helpful tips! My one tip is to make sure your plane outfit meshes with the other clothes you bring. I am always freezing on the plane (and allergic to wool) so I would wear big hoodies and jeans even if I was going to the tropics 😹 so now I wear many many layers that mix and match with my packed items, lighter pants, and add a scarf or two.
Maybe I missed when you said, but where does your very cute top/dress come from?

My husband and I are seeing Taylor Swift in in Zurich July 10th. I’m planning on wearing a red maxi skirt and a leopard tank top. Both can be worn again in Paris when I will mix and match with my black palazzo pants and two other cute black tops. One long sleeved one with a cap sleeve.
Great tip about the Sandals!

I really don't understand why everyone always says Europeans dress up more than Americans (or Canadians, I guess) do. Every time I have been, I've seen people wearing every kind of casual clothes, including athleisure. Last fall I had waitresses on two subsequent days who were wearing leggings (one was in Belgium, the other was in France). Sometimes the casually dressed are just tourists (and in Europe a lot of the other tourists I encounter are also European), but not always.

I love all of your Europe packing tips and videos. We spent 30 days in Europe last summer and I followed much of your advice, but I’m still a “what if I need” over-packer- but I’m working on that and getting much better.😂😂. Sadly, We won’t be going this summer-we’ll be staying in the states. I am looking forward to our next trip which will be a fall, Christmas or spring trip. Summer can be really hot in many European cities/towns. I love your black/white pants. Do you have a link for those? Have fun and thanks for all the wonderful advice!

please vlog southern Italy. I will be specially interested in this region. I was in Spain over Easter and used a few scarves of different size and texture. I use marino wool socks and can reduce the amount I bring because I let them air out and wear them again.

I'm so behind on your other recent videos! But i hope you had a great time at the concert! I'm so jealous😮

At the Duomo in Milan, my brother bought me one of the poncho things since i had on shorts and a tank top 😁

I learned that navigation apps suck your phone's battery. I also bring a pair of flip flops or hotel slippers for the hotel.

Athleisure wear is everywhere in the UK, as are t-shirts.
