This is the most terrifying foodstuff I've seen in ages. Somehow a syrup, a gravy, a glaze, all at once, and with two, technically complimentary flavors, but ridiculously sweetened, and thickened incredibly. The worst part is, I could *almost* see this working, but whoever devised the recipe clearly wanted a sauce that could do everything... and it can: just poorly.

Hey Jim. I have a vintage recipe for toast Ice cream, your “sauce” would go on.

Actually, it seems like anything you put that “sauce” on would be less appealing (assuming that thing was edible before it was “sauced”).
