I don't even trust cross walks... I taught my son to wait for every car to stop and look at the drivers faces when crossing the road...

This happened in 2013. It's 2016 and texting and driving is still happening and common. Laws have been passed against texting and driving but people still do it. More people are injured and killed by this avoidable act than by guns. Where is the outrage to hold these people accountable like they do drunk drivers! Drunk drivers are mentally impaired which affects their decision making of getting into a car and driving. But texting and driving is done by regular people who CHOOSE to do something against the law.

Im a new driver and i don't text but as i was driving in a protected area i took my eyes off the road for a second a SECOND and  started going off the road a little. I cant even think about doing something like this.

it's so so sad, I've personally lost THREE good friends in 3 separate crashes, all killed b y texting drivers. everyone thinks that they can text, and drive, the bad stuff just happens to other people

I watched enough of these videos, and it just amazes me that people continue to still be distracted by other things, because they are so concerned with everything else and everybody else in their lives then what's actually happening in front of them. Nothing is worth having a car accident. You have to think of others before you think of yourself. I never ever have been distracted, with anything other than driving my car. When I hear people say well we all have gotten distracted sometimes, no not everybody does that. Don't lump everybody together.
