Fanatec Clubsport Shifter SQ Review update by The Simpit

Last we we released a review of the Clubsport Shifter SQ by Fanatec. In that episode we made a small error and would like to clear the air on that issue. We also wanted to expand on certain aspects of the review in greater detail.

Since that review. less then a week ago, there have been several community questions about the shifter that we wanted to answer. And then to really make this show special we added some direct comparisons to the other shifters available on teh market today.

Might I make a request? I think many T500 users would appreciate it if you showed them how easy it is to replace their noisy fan after their warranty has expired.
I used a 'Noctua NF-A6x25 FLX' and a 2-to-3 pin fan adapter cable, plus a bit of double sided tape. Plus a PH1 screwdriver (normal one, not one with replaceable bits as that's too wide).
The fan is actually quieter, has a higher airflow and air pressure, lower power uses (less heat), etc. This all means the temperature is better regulated and the fan doesn't stay on for 30-60 minutes, but more like 10-15 minutes tops if not less.

So yeah, if you could make a video of that I think a lot will appreciate it. :)

Great addition to the review.  I think a lot of us will really appreciate the comparison to other comparable hardware, so I'd request a similar comparison on all reviews going forward (addressing our Q&A...maybe call the original article Product X Review, then the 5min update could be called Product X - Community Q&A).

If I look at what you were doing on ISR, giving everything 8 or 9 out of 10 didn't really help me. We don't need a Rev Scale, we need to know if X is better than Y, and that's where you can help us.

I also have an idea for a show. Brake upgrades. Potentiometer Vs Bushings & Springs (eg: Nixim) Vs Load Cell Vs $$$$ (ie: Yes, Load Cell is best, but when putting $$$ into the mix, it is worth it?) I really like to see an experienced Sim Racer like yourself give an honest review of the comparison

Great to see you back doing vids Shaun. I would really like to see some videos where you build rigs and do mods. They were some of my favorite videos you did before. Just for reference too that mount can be used upside down. I had clearance issues with a keyboard tray so i just turned the mount around and it worked a treat

Great looking unit, but I'm happy with my TH8RS so far, still if I was buying today...

I'd say save comparisons for a good old style shootout Shaun. Those were always favorites of mine. =D

Hey Shaun, mind sharing why you do the slight pop from 2nd into 1st then back into 2nd at approx 2:56 and the doubleshift into 3rd (i think) before hitting 2nd at about 3:18?
