Talk of God's action in the world is open to many interpretations, since it raises numerous questions about the causal structure of reality, laws of nature, and human free will. Participants of the analytic theology conference "Divine Action in the World" held in Innbruck/Austria, August 2014, tackled questions such as: Do the laws of nature allow God to intervene in the course of history at all? Does God influence or even occasionally override the wills of human beings in order to achieve his ends? Does God respond to petitionary prayer? How does God's salvific work relate to the many evils in the world?
