Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, Edgar Wright, David Fincher, and Denis Villenueve have movie this year.... Interestingly, among these incredible directors and screenwriters none of them win an Oscar yet, can you believe that? So please God, at least one of them should get it next year, PLEASE!

If you want to see some other options that could be nominated which you didn’t mention:

- Ammonite (could get lead and supporting actress noms for Saoirse Ronan & Kate Winslet)
- The Father (potential Lead actor nom for Anthony Hopkins)
- Blonde (potential Lead Actress nom for Ana de Armas... maybe even BP nom because it’s a biopic about the tragic behind the scenes life of Marilyn Monroe)
- The Devil All The Time (just look at that cast...)
- Minari (massive buzz at sundance and won sundance both critics and audience wise... this could go the distance which The Farewell failed to do. It’s also an A24 film btw)
- Never Rarely Sometimes Always
- Summertime (from the director of Blindspotting)
- Macbeth (Joel Coen directing with Denzel & Frances McDormand cast... also a really famous Shakespeare adaptation)
- Ironbark (maybe Lead Actor nom for Benedict Cumberbatch)
- Born a Crime (maybe Lead Actress nom for Lupita Nyongo)

I just hope that Ana de Armas will give an amazing performance as Marilyn Monroe in Blonde and makes herself a place in the best actress category
(Ana, si estás viendo esto, ESPAÑA TE APOYA)
(Ana, if you are seeing this, SPAIN DOES SUPPORT YOU)

My money is on Mank to deliver some Oscar nods. Gary Oldman and David Fincher working on a project should make for a great film.

Although I’m thinking that we are due for a comedy like The French Dispatch to break through, there are some A-list directors that the have some great looking projects too. The one on no one’s radar yet is Nightmare Alley by Guillermo Del Toro.

Thanks! A lot of movies that I didn’t know were coming out, but now I’m excited for most of them

I think Close and Adams may get the Oscar nom for lead/ supporting, however they manage it. Adams plays an alcoholic mother and Close the grandma who takes care of the main character.
Also maybe Saoirse for Ammonite.

Jennifer Hudson for RESPECT is a good early shout because the movie comes out during Oscars Season and Academy had a soft spot for Biopics lately

French dispatch after that trailer 💯 (also I think the woman in the window, soul, the way back, and antebellum/the green knight have some shots

You should do a directors tier list, it's a cool concept and it would probably be an intersting video!

TENET TENET TENET TENET TENET

I. Cannot wait. For Tenet. I really hope that Christopher Nolan finally gets himself an Oscar. He's made some of the best films of the decade, and I think his Oscar is long overdue.

The only prediction I would bet money on is that Billie Eilish & Finneas will walk away with a Best Original Song Oscar.

Thoughts on the song btw Austin?
