Types of Triangles in Euclidean Geometry

If a shape is made of straight line segments, the minimum number of sides it can have is three. And three sides make a triangle! I'm sure you knew that. But do you know all the types of triangles? Oh you do? Then what's a scalene triangle? Hah! I knew you were bluffing. You'd better watch this right away.

The two triangles at around 3:40 look to me as if the top and the bottom lines were parallel, which then would cause the bottom left angle to resolve to 70° instead of 60° (from alternate interior angles theorem).
Either I can't see it properly, I am missing something or the drawing is a bit unfortunate.
Anyways thanks a lot for these fantastic lessons!

After my OCD obsession with the problem and using an online protractor after screen shoot the problem and measuring the angles the problem is with the small triangle the angles should be 40 instead of 30 and 60 instead of 70. You can solve the problem in any way you want using the alternating angle or the way that professor David explains it.

What age group do you target your videos towards? Depends on the subject?

This material was taught in the 6th grade to me. Then pre-algebra in 7th. And algebra again in 8th.
