I think it is an absolute masterpiece. Don‘t forget when it was made. Freud‘s theories were still relatively new and revolutionary and psychiatry not as mainstream as it is today. The way they adapted these works in a 74 minute movie (admittedly simplified, but what else could they have done) is stunning. It is the first movie of this boxset for me and it is by far my favorite when compared to Vol1 and Vol2. Lee J Cobb absolutely on fire once again🔥

Was really looking forward to this due to the cast. Lee J Cobb again, and William Holden as well this time. I thought it was.... alright. Enjoyed it while it was on, and the scenes between Cobb and Holden were good. Nina Foch is so good in everything i see her in. Great to see Lois Maxwell in a pre Moneypenny role too. I also liked how brutal Holden's character was early on. However i do think it drags later on. Like you i started to feel it did become a little forced, so yeah completly agree. Good for a watch but not as gripping as some of the other entries
