Rep. AOC slams long voting lines, accuses Republicans of voter suppression

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed Republicans on Sunday before going to vote in New York City.

I hope for the day when politicians will have talking points that are about their policies and how they intend to serve the will of their people rather than these constant insults, accusations and baseless claims about the "other side." Sadly, I do not see this happening in my lifetime. I've been sitting with my ballot for a week now, because I know less of these people's policies than I know their personal stories and the accusations that they have lobbied about their opponents. I truly believe that politicians are nurturing an ignorant electorate because it benefits them and rewards their ineptness.

How are long lines during early voting a sign of “voter suppression?” I took my Mom and Grandma on Monday and the line was too long, so we came back earlier in the day on Tuesday and the line was shorter. No suppression there 🤷🏼‍♀️

She voted right by where I live. It's crazy how long the line was... luckily I got there at 8 am (the polls opened at 10am)... once they opened I was in and out within an hour... she's going to be there for a she's probably still on the line!!! She's much shorter than I thought. I'm 5'6''.. she's like 5'4.5''
