Vanilla Calamity Mod Music - 'Descent Into Hell's Fury' - Theme of the Underworld

Side Story 36: We have finally made it to hell. This is likely my most intense biome theme which I feel is fitting for how well each trip down goes. This is probably the longest amount of time I've spent making a biome theme. I wanted to write a song that fit Yharim's origin, the name kind of has a double meaning.

This song really makes the Underworld feel like the final frontier after all you come here to face your biggest foe yet up to this point, only you and the Underworld’s Guardian lies from the True beginning of the *calamity*

Rewatching this video again a year later to add to my playlist, and I noticed at 0:43 that in the transition, you can see a body falling. I believe this is when Yharim's mother is thrown into lava in the lore, as well as Yharon's egg. The little details like this remind you of this place's past, and I love it. Great job Heart!

Underworld theme in Vanilla: An unsettling theme that makes you believe you arrived to a truly demented place and this is where your journey will take a different turn.

Underworld theme in Otherworld: An even more unsettling and dreadful theme showing an ancient realm full of demons and other demented creatures, going through the ruined houses makes you see what this place could have been, and it gives you some closure.

Underworld theme in UCM: *RIP AND TEAR* and feel sorrowful as you learn this place's history.

(Also, I cannot be the only one who expected something was up when the usual outro motif didn't play, right?)

THE EPICNESS OH MY GOD, this feels like a buildup, a hopeful, yet somber theme about a hero gathering their armies in preparation to defeat a great villain and save the world once and for all. as they say their final goodbyes and prepare to end their journey, they scale the final obstacle, the final wall...




...only for things to get harder from here on out.
(Which means i loved it and will probably play it so much my ears get tired of it)
