I have caught them on a size 6 baitholder with some pieces of white bread or worms. You will get TONS of sunfish.

Typically when I go fishing for bluegill I use stale bread and it works pretty good

I just use a plan gold eagle claw hook with a red worm, with a bobber about 12in above, blue gills will bite the second it hits the hard 9/10

Or old school the easiest way even for a toddler. Bobber, small hook, a small splitshot about 4 inches above the hook, and worms.

I use a lindy rig or just a plain hook and worm

Key is 2lb or less line and an Ultralight or Super Ultralight with 500/1000 reel to make panfishing fun

I've been using a very tiny pink grub from brothers bait I think and I have it trail a lure been catching bluegill like crazy the past couple of days

I can only find 2.5inch Gulp minnows but hey it works. Even got a chunky bass somehow lol

Gulp minnows are too expensive and fall apart to easy but they do work
