I actually did it.

This song, without question, is the longest and most frustrating grind I've ever done in GH. I stopped keeping track of how many hours I spent after about 40, but if I had to estimate, it's well over 55 hours. I grinded this song on and off over the past few months, most of it being in early and late February. I had to take extended breaks from this song because my strumming arm would get so fucking sore after tensing up and strumming at 22nps repeatedly for hours at a time. I finally got this FC on March 12 at 5:10 in the morning after grinding it for approximately 8 hours that session.

Over my ridiculous amount of time grinding, I had probably over 50 Solo 2A FC's in practice, well over 100 FC's on the outro in practice, 2 runs where I FC'd 2A but missed beforehand, and one of those runs I also FC'd the outro. I never kept track of how many -1's, but It must have been a staggering amount. Soooooo many -1's in the last 5 notes of the strumming. I had a couple 887 note streaks, and a lot 885 note streaks. I had numerous different methods that worked at various periods of time for the strumming and for the outro. I had at least 6 different outro methods that were consistent at different points. I was incredibly lucky on this run because it was the first time I had ever FC'd past the strumming. Words cannot describe how nervous I got after hitting it. My heart rate immediately doubled, and my hands were soaking wet. I don't know how I didn't choke the outro. I thought FOR SURE that I would have at least one choke in the outro, but luckily I didn't.

I haven't even mentioned yet that this is 1st place. I couldn't care less. An FC is good enough for me. This was another experimental run where I tried only focusing on the strumming, not star power, so I lost over 1000 points on the solo activation. I should have activated on the R before the RYB sustain and whammy the SP overlap before the strumming, but again, I FC'd it and I don't care. There's another 350ish points possible on the 2nd activation that I hit plenty of times, but wasn't consistent enough to warrant trying for every run. Just activate on the RB and end on the RB.

I'm writing this description directly after getting the FC, so my mind is still a bit excited, so sorry if I'm rambling, but I am so fucking relieved to finally have this done. In the past two days I sunk probably 12 hours into grinding this song, and I didn't even listen to the song once. I played the whole time without my earbuds in. I was listening to youtube videos and podcasts instead. I got so fucking tired of listening to this song. If I ever hear this song again I'm gonna have a PTSD episode recounting my hours of agony rapidly strumming at 22 nps. I've said this for a few other songs before, but this song much more than the others, I AM NEVER EVER EVER PLAYING THIS SONG EVER AGAIN. EVER.
