I work with wildlife aid in New Jersey trapping and rescuing wild animals. Racoon 90% of the time are just like cute curious cats with hands. They're so adorable when they're little especially. It's awesome to see her take such good care of a life that would otherwise have ended. People like her give me hope that humanity isn't completely lost.

I had a raccoon when I was young (a swamp raccoon from the Everglades) and they really are like having a child. They're loving, fun, and very difficult to take care of, because they're always into everything. You MUST have a strong love for them or they will drive you nuts.

with and a loving human to take care of him. sorry to hear about the loss
of your father. he is most definitely looking down on you with a big smile
on his face. Louie did a great job with those paintings too. it was a great
idea to donate the proceeds back to that wildlife sanctuary that helped
Louie when he was younger!!

Raccoons are delightful.

When I was very young, my babysitter had a raccoon and she would bring him with her to our house. I loved being able to feed him, play blocks with him, and basically learn how to take care of an animal that was a little different from our cat and dogs.

I wish everyone could experience time with wildlife in this way so they could appreciate how much better our world is with species diversity.
