Walk to the South Pole
During July 2016, the crew here at Mawson Research Station, Antarctica will be running walking, rowing and cycling 2500km, that is the distance from Mawson Station to Amundsen-Scott Base at the South Pole, In support of AMRRIC, Animal Management In Rural and Remote Indigenous Communities and Headspace, the National Youth Mental Health Foundation.
We would like to invite you to join us on our Virtual walk. Get a group of 10 people, and come up with a cool Team Name, up-load a Team Photo to the Walk To The South Pole Facebook Page and start running, walking, rowing, and cycling your way to the South Pole.

When I travel I try and keep my gear minimal.
Vlogging Camera:
Olympus Tough Stylus TG-860
Action Camera:
I use a Drift Innovation Action Camera. These are like the popular Go-Pro. They are a personnel choice and I love it.
Cannon 600D DSLR:
Sigma 17mm-50mm 2.8, 77mm
Sigma 70mm- 200mm 2.8, 77mm
Rode: Shot Gun Mic,
Gear:
Pro-Master Tripod, Manfrotto Video Gymbal, I tiny micro tripod, Drift Innovation Time-lapse mount, suction cup mount and that is about it?
Editing Software and Computer:
I use Final Cut Pro X and Compressor, on a Macbook Air 11”. It is a little underpowered for FCPX however it is so compact that I can carry it everywhere.
