I’m a 77 low carb that has survived his first 70 years. I backed out of the new Type 2 diagnosis and lost 85 lbs and ride an electric unicycle or walk around all the time. No problem doing research and fixing my own self. Great video’s as usual.

I used to suffer from gout, I didn’t eat beef for many years, colchicine was the only thing that helped me with flare ups. Once I realized it was the fructose I stopped suffering on a regular basis. I’ve been eating carnivore for over two years, never felt better, too many issues to mention that gone now.

I'm a 65 year old woman. I put myself on the diet back in November of last year and I have lost 80 lb so far I have my cholesterol is normal my LDL is only a few points away from being normal all I did was stop eating all fast food, all junk food. I have eliminated my sugar 90%. And I have lowered my carbs to only eating 10% of carbohydrates. I eat a lot of fruits a lot of vegetables, and I limit my meat intake as well. I eat a lot of eggs cheese I take good care of myself I'm not very mobile so I don't exercise a lot but it can be done with diet and you don't have to do it with drugs. My doctor wanted to put me on a Statin and I said no I'll be glad to do it with diet she didn't think I could do it and I proved her wrong so all you fat people out there or even the thin ones stop eating junk food stop eating sweets and sugar lower the carbohydrates and you won't have a problem

I know (personally) the benefit of colchicine for joint inflammation, and have read that it is a drug of choice for pericarditis. However, so much of your information (about amyloid formation, double benefit of aspirin and colchicine, decrease risk of kidney strokes, etc) is all new to me. I really appreciate your information. Thank you for taking the time to teach.

If the risk-lowering benefits of colchicine as quoted by Dr. Cywes (from the study) are 31% and 23%, we would want to know whether those are "relative" risk values or "absolute" risk values. Many of us are familiar with the way statins were promoted because they lowered your risk of an event by 36%. But that was a calculated "relative" risk number. The actual "absolute" risk reduction was about 1% or 2%, as Dr. David Diamond has eloquently illustrated in his YouTube videos.

I just found a new hospital that states they will follow what the patient says. "Our healthcare is ours to decide", they say. You can even refuse what ever you decide and not be gas-lighted! I found this in the intake papers and it is shocking, but OH, so hopeful.

Hello Doctor: because I experienced a tia and found out by accident that required a cat scan w+w/o contrast, atherosclerosis and another a word were discovered. As a result and my determination to correct myself, I found out about keto and carnivore lifestyles.
Not smoking, no sugar in my diet and I am learning and practicing via trial and error to get my body into ketosis. I recently discovered your channel.

Good info I am 66 years old. CAC score ZERO. Been strict carnivore for 5-years. Take no prescription drugs. Life is great! 🤓

Given their track record, exactly how is FDA "approval" trustworthy? We really do need a REAL FDA that ISN'T approving all kind of toxic chemicals "fit for human consumption". The very least the present FDA could do is mandate accurate warnings to go on food labels to ensure the customer is fully informed. Only they DON'T. WHY don't they?

FDA has approved risky and harmful products so claiming something "FDA approved" does not deliver much confidence. Appreciate the statin alternative information.

Thank you Dr Cywes for bringing this potentially huge change in CAD treatment more into the public eye. To those who take the time to research the thorough study by respected research medicine, of Colchicine for CAD, it is obviously a major we had it all along.🙂

Thanks Robert for bringing this up. Colchicine has recently been advised, unfortunately in addition to not instead of the the new expensive cholesterol lowering drugs. See I do really watch you.. David Nabert, MD

Thanks, Doc! My cardiologist actually suggested Colchicine yesterday after I told him inflammation is my issue, not my LDL cholesterol. I had never heard of colchicine before and then today this video popped up! That’s what I call timely. With a CAC score of 0 and a reduction of small particle LDL from 2400 to 1400 after doing carnivore for a year, I told him I’d rather stay off the meds and he agreed. I expect my labs in Jan 2025 will show improvement without meds, but now I know there are options other than statins.

17:30 "so hsCRP a mark of inflammation is more predictive of cardiovascular death than LDL ." High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) is a marker of inflammation that predicts incident myocardial infarction, stroke, peripheral arterial disease, and sudden cardiac death

WOW! FIRST time I have seen you, Dr. You said exactly what I tell everyone about every dr that I have seen...."you need a statin". They do everything but shove it down my throat themselves. I am 72, I do have pretty high total cholesterol but LOW triglycerides and a fairly high HDL ....78. But my ldl which I am tired of hearing is high. I asked my cardiologist about niacin the first time I saw him...." not enough studies for that"....I REFUSE a statin so he tells me that if I have a heart attack he is putting me on a statin. I am now trying red yeast rice with COQ10 and Niacin. Then my PCP is on my case and orders me Zetia...I haven't take a one of those either. There has to be a way without the statin. I agree that it is about the money as well. Thank you for this video....I nearly jumped up for joy when I heard you!

Thank you for this information including the paper it’s based on. I will be sure my cardiologist gets this as I’ve been reamed out for refusing statins

I’m 50 and my total cholesterol is 120. Got a new primary care doctor and she asked what statin I was on and I told her ivermectin never taken one. She said “at your age? How’s your cholesterol so low?” I got a new doctor.
