Here is the original glazed doughnuts recipe. These glazed doughnuts taste just like Krispy Kreme doughnuts. They are fluffy and delicious!
💥 Fluffiest Homemade Glazed Donuts Recipe (Makes about 15 donuts)
Ingredients:
3 cups all purpose flour for doughnuts, plus 2 tablespoons for dusting
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 packet of dry yeast (about 2 1/4 teaspoons)
5 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup milk
1 egg
oil for frying
💥 Glaze for Doughnuts:
2 cups powdered sugar (250 gram)
2-3 tablespoons warm milk
1 inch and 2.6 inch cookie cutters
💥 Glazed Doughnuts Recipe Instructions:
1. In a bowl, add milk. melted butter, egg and mix well.
2. Add the yeast and stir. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
3. In a mixing bowl, add all purpose flour, sugar and mix. Add the wet ingredient to the dry ingredients and mix well with a spatula .
4. When everything is well mixed, use your hand to knead the dough for 10 minutes. Add little oil to the bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
5. Let the dough rise until doubles in size, usually about 1 1/2 hours.
6. Sprinkle a little bit of flour in your work surface and roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thick. Cut donuts with a round cookie cutter (medium or large) and cut a whole in the center by using a small cutter. Place donuts on a baking sheet and let it rise for 20-30 minutes.
7. Fry the donuts on hot oil over medium heat until golden brown on both sides.
8. Make the donuts glaze while frying donuts by combining all the glaze ingredients.
9. Dip warm donuts in the glaze and place them on a cooling rack for glaze to drip off.
10. Enjoy!
