Sending emails using Winlink and Vara HF. This is an awesome system for times when you need to send a message and you have no internet available. I am using a Kenwood TS-850SAT with a Signalink USB sound device and (FTDI) cat cable. The setup is pretty much the same as most other digital modes, like PSK31 or FT8. If your radio is setup for those modes, Vara HF will set your frequency based on the gateway (station) you select from a list, which can be updated from internet or using radio only, then connect, send and receive your email(s). To send just create a new email and post to outbox before you connect to Vara HF gateway and start the session.
