New performance cars come with tubular manifolds aka "shorty" headers. These cars have cast logs. Headers definitely benefit these cars, just keep your expectations realistic because you're only looking at maybe 20-25hp out of 600-800 dollar headers. The driving experience however, is priceless.

Thank you for this video, I’m saving or selling my x pipe now...I live in Los Angeles where about 700, 000 people live in a 2 mile radius and the full exhaust setup (headers, x pipe, cat back) I bought would definitely upset people...I just want a better noise than stock with better hp/torque numbers if possible...seriously thank you for this...im just going to run headers with a cat back or stock

Pain in the ass when I got shorty's put in.had too many exhaust leaks that's when I just went with longtubes haven't had any leaks in a very long time

I'm wondering if you can get a decibel reading in the car on a normal drive. Maybe an apple watch noise reading?

I hade the mistake with an old car with going to far and the noise was so loud inside that I was getting hearing loss.

Great video, just curious when replacing your clutch I heard that you have to take off the passenger side header to have room for your trans to come down. Do you know if you have to completely remove the header are do you just loosen it without having to remove the k member. Thanks

doing an engine swap on my car, and I'm down to just the trans and a few connectors from starting it, however I did not realize that the trans would not bolt up bc of the long tubes, so now I get to redo some of my work

I have a 2001 Mustang GT with Xtreme Energy comp cams stage 3 and I am still running my stock factory headers... I went against a friend that had the long tube headers and bigger intake on a drag race and he really thought he was gonna get me or even stay close but no way in hell as soon as I dropped 2nd and third he was way behind me. So I am really wondering if I should put those on my car... My car was also tuned.
