This is the first time I have a chance to compeer between the RF EMF Radiation emitted while in 4G Data and 3G data modes.
In this video I show the RF radiation emitted from an iPhone 5 in 2 modes: 4G Data and 3G Data, both with the same supplier.

In this measurement it is clear that when in 4G mode the phone emits higher levels or RF EMF.

Like the "walk through gates " used in the airports for security purposes, how we can design a simple circuit to detect the presence of a cellphone in a certian area !?

I understand your test but it could be also that 3g reciever antenna is much closer then 4g during this test... right?

Great video! In 4G networks, voice-data is riding on top of the normal data packets, so 4G is going to spike high all of the time and be much worse for our health; this is compared to 3G where voice and data were independent of each other. In a 4G network, people that are using Ipads and other RF-data-surfing devices, etc. will be getting a ton more RF exposure without realizing it (unless they have a meter). Just go back to hard-wiring and we get more reliable data, PLUS FASTER internet upload/download SPEEDS, PLUS no issues to our HEALTH!

RF is being shown now to demylenate neurons, block vitamin-D on the skin, upregulate glucose producing more cytokines in the brain where the cell phone is held in close-proximity, dehydrate us more, cause bone loss, and many other issues if you bother to read the scientific journals. When we look back 50 years from now in 2065, we'll see that RF exposure is going to be in the Top 5 health issues we faced. RF exposure is real physics intersecting with human biology and impacting it in negative ways.

Why not just keep phone on flight or airplane mode unless you need to use it? and if you are at home use WIFI over DATA simple enough?
Can you explain how much more radiation is 4G than 3G and what about 5G? I am not familiar with the numbers. 10x more or 100x more?

What about standby mode with data on? Does the phone emit a lot when idle (and with background refresh or push notifications turned OFF). In other words is it safe to keep 4G on when phone is not in use and at least 1meter away from me? Thanks

I've a question, if you can help with it, is cell phones emitting signals while in idle mode ( standby ), and how we can detect these signals ? Also in switched off mode, is it emitting any signal !?

Interesting dear, but you have understimated something: when you switched from 3G to 4G and viceversa you must be sure that the received level is always the same and the frequency used is always the same. In case you receive a very low signal from bts your mobile phone uses its maximum power level when transmit, if you receive a strong signal from bts your cell uses a very low power when transmitting, in this case the conditions are the same??

Thanks for this interesting comparison! 170 mW/m² is higher than e.g. EMFields' Acoustimeter AM-10 can measure (max 100 mW/m²). How many V/m does this 4G use generate?

Do you know anything about using wired mouses and keyboards using USB ports vs the old ps2 ports? I've been using the old ones for many years and but recently started using computers that only use USB mouse/board and feel a lot of radiation from them (static feeling on hands, arms, etc.).

The measurement here might not be accurate, as the websites are in the browser's cache when 3G was measured.
So the phone had to do less loading.
The second 4G measurement could also include background data that the iPhone was loading that wasn't necessarily connected to the browsing, but rather than to connecting the the 4G network or any other "spontaneous" activity it may start.

I am not saying that 4G is lower. I am just saying that we need to better the measurements.
- Wait a certain time before measuring 4G or 3G, after switching to that mode.
- Make sure all other apps are closed while measuring, and - again, make sure all "push" notifications and other "spontaneous" activity is disabled before measuring.

Thanks for the reply, but if i want to use this idea to build a security cellphone detector to prevent people from carrying there cellphone in certain area or certain places, is it possible to detect these radiations, how is that !?

I dont have a measurement device, but i do have a PC microphone ( superlux E205U) and it has an input for headphones. I plug them in, listen to them . Then i put my phone near the microphone and start surfing the net. On 4g, I simply CANT USE the headphones connected to the mic because there is a lot of loud, weird sounds generated by the phone's RF's. When i switch to 3G, the sounds get like 20 times quieter. I also tested WIFI and the noises are a louder than 3G but NOWHERE close to how bad 4G is. I would love to make a video, but its hard to record the sounds..
