Ralph brother, I love your introduction into the trucking industry from the furniture industry. Your experiences with cameras really sound you had to over being seen all the time on the job. I would love to have you on my channel for an interview about your experience on YouTube.

Driver facing cameras are a deal breaker for me. Just the thought of it motivated me to become an owner operator back in 2015.

Fast Food workers are making nearly just as much or more then truckers and they don't drug test, DOT physical, worry about tickets etc... I retired and gave up my CDL shortly after the cameras were installed. I don't miss trucking at all.

I would not want it, it’s there to be used against you to save their hides. We have cameras throughout the hospital and they are there for the big picture, they won’t zoom in to spy on people. Take care Ralph and have a blessed week ahead my friend.

They are gathering ammo to use against you when they need to..😅

You left out the end of the manual truck. Now it's an endorsement? 🤣😂🤣

I've seen videos where the driver was saved from an undeserved ticket bcz they had a camera. I think they are necessary these days . Safe travels Ralph 💪🏼😎

My company is starting to have all the driver facing cameras activated in two months. I have been working here for over 3 yrs and this time I really thinking about quitting. The pay is decent and the home time is not bad either the reason makes me really want to leave is just two months ago when I was at the quartery safety meeting the guy in safety department said specifically to everyone even some of the company trucks have driver facing cameras they will never activate them to watch over what driver do in the truck. And now since we are the mega company we have accidents happen every week they decided to change their mind about the cameras and I don’t blame them I just walk away to another company lol.

I would be against it but I wouldn't quit. (I am for the old days) my GPS sends me around the world to go to 5 blocks away, ridiculous!

I hate it and against it but the truth is it’s the company’s truck their property so they are entitled to do it. I either accept it or find work elsewhere . That’s the pure truth .

my company just implemented them. they want me to sign a consent form which gives them the ability to use my bio metric data. I haven't signed. Probably won't sign. in 15 years of driving i have one record-able accident. a lady rear ended me. I've done cabinet deliveries in philly, dc, balt, and nyc with NO ACCIDENTS. screw these companies.

If you're a company driver, it doesn't matter what you like or want. If your name isn't on the door, you'll do what they want or move along. The company is still liable whether you're on the phone, falling asleep, or not. It's their door...

We worked at Burlington together that’s about the time I started there

I don’t like how the FMC essay states that you have to be able to read and write and speak the English language yet we have thousands of truck drivers that cannot, and they have jobs driving truck

I don’t like how no one has a CB on anymore and uses it to communicate with their fellow drivers

I don’t like the disrespect out here, these drivers running around with their bright lights on all the time, not knowing how to turn their four-way zone 10 foreign people that they’re backing up parking at the fuel island going in taking a shower when they should go find a parking spot

There is no respect out here anymore. That’s a shame back in 96 when I started with Burlington motor carriers there is a lot of respect out here on the road we were known as the highway nights.

I can’t wait to retire and get off this road now

Damn we had cell phones in 1990, all ambulances are starting to have forward and rear facing camera. I think all companies should have them.

I really don't care if they have the in cab cameras. We put our own in the anyway. It's not like someone is being paid to just sit and watch you drive for 11 hrs a day.
We have one in our truck and it's our choice if we cover it or not. If you do we don't get any of the bonus cpm and it's like 5cpm more you get. We don't cover it, but some drivers choose to.
We are allowed to cover it anytime we are not driving though
