Mom arrested in death of 3-year-old twins found in car on I-95 after her suicide attempt

A South Florida mother jumped off I-95 and her 3-year-old twins were found unresponsive inside a car earlier this month. Now, 42-year-old Shirlene Napoleon Alcime has been arrested in connection with the children's deaths, officials said. According to an arrest report, Alcime told investigators she'd been plotting to kill her 3-year-old children and herself for the previous two months, "due to her current financial status and multiple debt(s) that she owes." #SouthFlorida #Florida #crime

Some might ask 'Why didn't she ask for help?'. This whole country is asking for help, but folks wanna play politics with basic survival. Adults want to bully other adults for not having enough. Jobs don't want to pay enough. The price of housing and food is raising faster than wages. Men and women are not getting along as they should. There is little to no family support. Evidence of a mental health crisis in this country is everywhere, but help is still inaccessible to most. The reason why those kids are gone isn't just the mom's problem, it's this country's problem. There are people doing drastic things every day because of the pressure of existing in this country. It needs to be fixed.

I know the feeling of just being lost with kids. I was homeless with 2 kids lived in 4 different shelters with abundance of family & friends who all knew. I even called a friend and told her i was so stressed out that i feel like just turning on the Gas and me & kids just all go together. She told me to call my aunt maybe she could help me. I dont know why I thought they would help me because all my family left me in a bad mental state after the lost of my Grandmother who raised me . But I serve a mighty God who loves me .He brought me through with my kids it took 10 months. Please be strong and trust God he will bring U through just like he did for me and my babies. Amazing, she is still alive, but her children are dead. She never planned to kill herself. Instead she planned to seek sympathy after the fact, as unstable, confused, & mentally ill. Had she planned to kill herself also, she would have consumed the poison alongside her children. They were poisoned. Cut her no breaks. Prosecute to the full extent of the law. Life in prison without parole at a minimum, but the death penalty would be better. Lord please help this father. Please help this father find comfort through your grace. Bless these innocent children.

I was a teen mom, didn’t have any support from family, pinching pennies together to buy diapers . I did what needed to be done and provided for my kids.
This hurts my heart!! Why on earth would you take the lives of your innocent children???? She’s still alive those babies are gone.

On Mothers day some years back, I was driving on an overpass and saw a man holding his two year old son. All the sudden he put that baby out over the side and they both went down. By the time I got down there the father was dead, but the child was not, though he was grieviously injured and it was quite apparent on sight. I sung to him and gently ran my fingers on his face and hair while we waited for first responders, though I don't know if it made any difference, he may have been unaware that I was there but it seemed to calm him down and he quit moving so much.

No matter whats going on, don't take your children with you. Your brain might lie to you, tell you it's a mercy, or maybe you just want to do it out of spite, like that long ago father on that bridge, but it isn't a mercy, and it's so cruel to snuff out the lives of your own flesh and blood for something so petty. You will be remembered as an evil coward, anf that will be your legacy. Nothing you've EVER done will matter, except that act, and that will be you malignant legacy.

Get phucking help. Children don't get to choose to be born, and they shouldn't have to suffer at the hands of the person who is supposed to love them most because that person decided to opt out. These are not thoughts a healthy mind should have no matter how clear you belive your thinking is, get help.
