Calculus of Complex-valued Functions (with a Real Variable)

We briefly review the calculus of complex-valued functions with a real variable, that is needed for the study of differential equations and Fourier series. Simply put, we can treat complex-valued functions (with a real variable) just like the usual real-valued functions where the imaginary unit happens to be -1 when squared.
