I probably could have figured this out with an extra 10 hours of time and a Math degree, but you explained it so simply and carefully. Thank you.

Great tutorial -- right to the point and it's so much clearer than some I've seen on pattern matching (something I still need to crack!).

I’ve looked at ALOT of videos to learn how to do this and this is the most straightforward and simple way of explaining it I have ever seen!! Thank you so much!!

Now I can finally finish a couple of dress projects that have been collecting dust due to my print matching anxiety. lol. This tutorial is fantastic!! No one ever demo'd it so simply...at least not to me. As far as buying enough fabric...should we just take the pattern with when purchasing or is there a fool proof formula to calculate? If you ask my boys, the last thing this quilter needs is extra fabric.

Thank you for showing how to pattern match using the pattern pieces. I watched so many tutorials that showed matching patterns by pinning but not showing how to do it with actual pattern pieces.

Oh! So THAT'S the way you do it! That's SO much easier than trying to "eye it, " or whatever! Thanks!

Just saw this. WOW. I could have used this way before. But now I know how easy it should be. Thanks. Very good demo.

It’s as if you read my mind! I saw an obviously photo shopped shirt on one of those scam online stores that I really loved. I was trying to figure out how I could replicate something similar and this video pops up. Now I’m so excited to buy my fabric. Thanks!

"...commend yourself for doing a good job..." The most important part! ;)

Perfect timing- I just started working on a bias cut plaid flannel and was tearing out my hair trying to match it! Will definitely try this! Thank you so much

Thank you!!! I went through a lot of trouble cutting out a dress, trying to match the print along the center back. When I sewed it, bottom to top, the print matched up until I got to the bottom of the zipper. But somehow, installing the invisible zipper caused it to skew out of alignment. I should have basted the zipper in to make sure everything still lined up.

Aha, so you make 1 less cut. Awesome! Or, less cuts, rather. And, I used painters tape to help with fabric cutting. It really doesn't tear the paper when removed.
