New drug driving laws to come into effect in South Australia

From tomorrow, police in South Australia will have new powers as officers able to suspend licences on the spot for drivers caught with drugs in their system.

Harsher penalties for those driving with a disqualified or suspended licence also come into effect, with potential jail time increasing from six to 12 months.
