Tornadoes have been spotted starting to form in skies over Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton’s arrival, expected in coming hours.
Five have been confirmed in the south of the state as wild weather begins to cause storm surges and powerful winds.
It is set to make landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast and the Tampa Bay Area overnight (local time), with the size of the hurricane itself more than doubling in size since yesterday.
