I had to get a tonsillectomy when I was little. I was getting strep multiple times a year and I snored like crazy. It helped TREMENDOUSLY

I’ve had sleep apnea for over a decade. The Cpap machine helps immensely

I should have got my tonsils out when I was younger but didn't and regretted it. I always had sore throat. I got mine out in my mid twenties and it was horrible. Best to get them out now then wait.

Hi! I hope all goes well with Gabrielle! I can relate because I’ve been struggling for a while with taking a deep breath as well and I also feel like it messed with my sleep but I’m not sure if mine is anxiety or what😭but I hope Gabrielle’s situation gets cleared up!!💗💗💗

I had a tonsillectomy when I was around 3rd grade. They swelled to the point where they were touching each other and I would stop breathing every night. They did emergency surgery. It was crazy! If she’s having issues breathing, even if the sleep study comes back ok I would just get it removed. Not worth the risk!

My mother said the older you are with tonsils. The worst experience youll have. Not sure why. Definitely get tonsils out @ younger age. Possibly the healing is faster. When younger. Praying for Gabrielle. ❤

I had a sleep apnea test done where I had to go into a private hospital and stay overnight and they put a heap of wires on me for measuring my heart and brain waves. It was super uncomfortable for me to sleep 😴

My husband has obstructive sleep apnea that is severe. He stops breathing 55 times an hour. He did the at home test too and now uses a CPAP every night. It’s not too bad and he sleeps much better now

I have to get that same equipment to do the sleep study too. I heard it doesn't take that long to get results.

I had two sleep study tests done in late 2022. I then went to my ENT a few weeks later and the doctor looked at my tonsils and they were enlarged. I was 40 at the time and the doctor wanted to watch and wait and make a decision 6 weeks later. 6 weeks later, the doctor and I set the surgery date. In late March 2023 at age 41, I finally had my tonsils removed (my adenoids shrunk). Recovery was not fun and I got dehydrated a week later and had to get IV fluids. The doctor told me that the pain gets worse a week later as the scabs start to fall off. Recovery took almost a month. Once I was fully recovered, it has made a huge difference. I don’t get colds or sore throats much anymore (maybe once a year). I had to wait a year after the tonsillectomy to do another sleep study, I did it almost two weeks ago. I will find out in early June if I can get rid of my CPAP machine and if the sleep apnea is gone. Wishing Gabrielle the best of luck.
