How can people only use 1 PC monitor?

I used to have a 2 monitor set up but had to downgrade to a 1 monitor setup. I grown to like the 1 monitor setup more because i didn’t have to worry about connection problems (for my computer at least)

I work from home most days and use two monitors for that, but when I'm done with work, I go to a single-monitor setup because that's what I prefer for everything other than productivity.

If I want to have a video or something on in the background, I actually switch to a second PC (cheap old Optiplex I bought for $150). And I occasionally stream, but even in that case I prefer the second PC, though not the way most people use a second PC for streaming. I tried using a capture card, but dealing with audio was too much of a hassle, and now I only use the second PC to monitor and control the stream through OBS-web and Twitch itself.

My only remaining problem with streaming is being able to visually monitor separate audio levels for mic and desktop audio. I know there's a way to do it, but it'll require finding a different app or web-based solution for obs-web and I've been lazy about that. ;)

Here is my analysis, two 60 hz moniters, or one good moniter like a 144hz or 180 hz bit im a gamer and tasks may be different

yeah. one monitor is just not enough. two is a requirement. heck if i'm playing a game by myself, i will throw a show or movie or podcast etc on the second monitor.

I usually just focus on one task at a time. I think second monitor would be too distracting for me if im not working.
