Have you sailed with MSC Cruises? Let us know your experiences.

I’ve sailed twice with MSC (Mediterranean on Orchestra and transatlantic via the Caribbean on Meraviglia). Loved both experiences and have 2 more booked with MSC this year (Mediterranean on Orchestra and Transatlantic on Seashore)

I love the mix of culture and languages on board. I had never cruised before last year. Traveled a lot but always land based. Mainly because land based was cheaper and meant I could travel internationally 4 or 5 times a year as opposed to 2 pricier cruises.

MSC’s incredibly reasonable fares, included gratuities and allowing you to get on and off at any port (which then allows you to mix cruise with land based) has really made cruising an option for me. If it wasn’t for MSC I wouldn’t be cruising.

The ships are beautiful, the crew are amazing the service is fantastic and the food is fresh without being packed full of salt and sugar.

Possibly the food is more suited to a European palate, where the EU reduced the sugar / salt content in all our foods many years ago and we are now use to eating reduced salt and sugar.

I went to the US for the first time last year and personally I struggled with the food over there. It tastes so salty, sugary and too rich for me. I could see if thats the food Americans are use to eating, how MSC’s food could taste bland to their palate. But as the cruise lines name suggests, it is a European cruise line and so the food is going to be in-keeping with the European tastes and salt and sugar policy’s.

Really great video enjoyed watching it all the way through. Maybe next time if you could and are doing a full ship tour could you peak into the duty free and look around like what's available as far as the liquor, cigars and other items for sale? Thanks

As a smoker myself, I feel like allowing the casino to be a smoking area is irresponsible and dangerous to any non smokers who may be in the atrium above. It should only be allowed outdoors.

I will never never step on a MSC ship again in my life

I feel like they are making the cruise just for Yacht club members. There is so many things that a normal passenger can’t do. Like what’s the point of even booking anymore? At this point you’re just paying for restaurants and a room.

I was just on the Seascape last week, the ship is beautiful, but I won't be traveling MSC again. the room toilet was broken when i embarked, then again day 2, there isn't any shade in pool areas other than the jungle pool, and that room was a sauna. The food was subpar in my opinion, the cabana at private island was not cleaned well, as I found cigarette butts around. there was also mold in cooler and their solution was to put a smaller cooler within the bigger cooler in the cabana. The music in the lounges at night were not to my taste. I heard way too much latin pop (ie daddy yankee). There also isn't enough included dining options.

After I did the Seascape Transatlantic voyage, I found that MSC is just not for me. The quality of food, service and overall experience was not like my previous cruises. I regret spending my money on it and rather spend a little more on better quality. I have since traveled with Celebrity Beyond, which made up for this mistake.
