TOP 14 THINGS TO KNOW 🛳️ MSC SEASCAPE

I don't regret taking this cruise, but I will NEVER sail with MSC again. Consider watching this BEFORE you book to save yourself the money, the time and the energy. It wasn't the vacation I was looking for (and wasn't even close).

If you want to score a deal on this cruise, go talk to JC about it, he'll hook you up. Even better, have him set you up with a better cruise (on virgin voyages).

Our sailing:
7 nights in July 2023 going to Nassau, Ocean Cay, Puerto Rico, Puerto Plata. I paid $3,122 (for the cruise, deluxe balcony room) and later in total.. much more for the upgraded drink package, some additional upgraded drinks (not included in the drink package) and the required $14 per person per night for gratuities. It didn’t include parking at the port nor the additional gratuities we gave out.

I really, really enjoyed this video and your review. Great information to know for my coming up cruise this Saturday. Thank you!

Unfortunately all cruise lines are overbooking these days. This isn’t just an MSC problem. The summer is the worst time to cruise if you don’t want to be around kids. A friend just got off a Carnival ship that had over 600 kids on board. Summertime is when all these families travel. I always pick off times to cruise when most kids are in school.

I enjoy sailing MSC's newer ships. I just dont sail any cruise line during summer vacation when school is out. Hahaha. Hopefully folks do ample research before choosing a cruise. Happy sailing.

I haven't been on a cruise. I'm still undecided if I even want to. If I did I'd most likely be leaving from Florida. I'd be alone. Any recommendations? Great video btw

Hi, we are booked on The Seascape mid November. 1st time cruisers. Being Irish, tipping doesn't really happen here. What do recommend we tip. Is it every drink or when we are leaving and moving on after a few and how much?

Thanks for the information. I just took the MSC Meraviglia in June when the kids let out of school. We were a family of four with one 14 year old and two Deluxe Balcony Yacht Club rooms. Thankfully, there were not that many kids in the Yacht Club, and we never felt cramped at all. The Yacht Club was sold out also, but it was definitely a place to relax in every area you went to and there was never a crowd. The buffet was never packed, and the dining room always had availability. The food every day in the buffet or dining room was great in the Yacht Club. However, the main ship was total chaos. The food in the buffet was not that great and the lines were ridiculous. Needless to say, we stayed in the Yacht Club about 95% of the time which was unfortunate but necessary if you wanted space and peace. We usually travel the week of Thanksgiving, and it was never this bad. This was our first trip since COVID, and it seems like this has become the new normal on ships from what I have been seeing. I will also mention that my sister's butler was phenomenal but mine, never even gave me his name. He seemed more consumed with helping other guests than me and my son. I am not sure if it was because it was just us two or what, but he definitely did not give the experience we expected. However, all of the other staff in the Yacht Club were great and received tips. I am willing to give it a try one more time during the week of Thanksgiving this time to see if there is a difference, but we all agreed we could not do this ship unless it was in the Yacht Club.

We leave in 18 days, family of 5, it's our first cruise so we have nothing to compare it to. I thought about doing a disney cruise, but my kids are a bit older and I didn't want that many kids.

So you went on a family oriented cruise and didn’t really want to be surrounded by families? Pretty widely known that MSC is a family oriented cruise line.

Would there be a ton of kids during 1st week of February?

Thanks for the review! We're considering this ship just because it is geared towards kids so I think we will enjoy it as family with youngsters. What about the pools and hot tub? Were they heated? We just got off Liberty of the seas and they were heated very well for March and we loved that alot

I respectfully disagree. Been on Royal, Carnival and Princess. Just did MSC Aurea last week. Just call the number and scan your card. Done with the drill. Make sure to book Aurea or Yatch Club.

I had 3 people in a Deluxe balcony with free drink package and wifi and paid $1000 less than you. Pays to book early it’s less expensive. I booked 9 months in advance.

The clubs are adults only at night but nobody enforced it. So no it is not kid friendly.
