Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is dependent upon two variables the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
If the same force is applied to two objects of different mass, the heavier object has less acceleration than the lighter object.
Force = mass x acceleration (F=ma)
OR a = F/m.

Hi sir,
We made this project for our science exhibition but teacher is asking that how can we calculate the ball's acceleration?
As what we are assuming that from the height gained by the ball is its acceleration. But how to show that?
As we are only able to see displacement?

Great experiment, but you should have balls of the same size with different masses, like a ping pong ball and a golf ball. The bigger ball in your example didn't go down inside the bottle launcher, so it was accelerated for less time than the smaller ball.

Here is a challenge for you. “Without” applying the Energy from within you, choose an object of your choice, and apply only the Force or Net Force needed to push it away from you or pull it towards you. Please let me know if you’re able to. Thank you.
