92 unaccounted for in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene

Ninety-two people are still missing in hard-hit North Carolina following the "catastrophic disaster" caused by Hurricane Helene, according to Gov. Roy Cooper.

I have counted over 3k just in one area and each area has 1k+ d.. plus 1k missing or misplaced. So, better do your job right. I've been following this since day 1, and I follow lots of organizations, groups churches, people, pillots, regular CITIZENS etc HELPING... other people.

I’m in the Asheville region about 6 miles from AVL (the regional airport) and my direct manager at my company has 10 confirmed dead friends and family members and 3 that are still unaccounted for by him and his family. I don’t believe that the numbers are anywhere near accurate.

We keep hearing stories of bodies being pulled from the rivers and that there are hospitals that cannot store any more bodies on site.

The religious bodies such as churches seemed to be the first to act alongside concerned North Carolinians to get resources to people. A couple of days later after the power linesmen had been working for a few days is when we saw any aid come in from any government bodies. Now the timing of that aid could have come in earlier to other areas, but with electricity, internet, and cellular down, it’s difficult to know outside of other firsthand accounts and what’s been reported.

I would ask that our governor not be so callous towards his people in this time whether they are mistaken or not. A lot of homes have been destroyed and many lives lost.
