Far Side of the World - Acoustic

We started Tide Lines 4 years ago today.
It’s been a hugely enjoyable 4 years seeing all sorts of amazing places and meeting all sorts of wonderful people.
Had everything been normal, we would have been celebrating tonight in Glasgow with 2,500 of our fans at the Kelvingrove Bandstand.
Instead, have this wee reflective version of Far Side of the World that Robert did today.

And my beloved companion lives in Glasgow, while I'm in the US. Been doing this for 20 years, and four years ago, first heard Tidelines on BBC Alba. I first heard this song while driving around the Isle of Skye with my wife. We have been married almost 38 years and are spending 2 weeks on Skye for our vacation. We are staying in the Laundry cottage on the grounds of Dunvegan castle. As the July sun was setting and shone its reddish-orange light on Dunvegan Castle, the beauty of this island, your music, the love I feel for my wife, and all of our years together all hit me at once. The tears are flowing now as these lyrics in this place at this time overwhelm me... PLEASE release this acoustic version...

I dicovered the Tide Lines during a solo bike-trip I did through the northern Scotland and Skye. Usually always camping, that evening I was in a small town and ordered a tomato soup with bread and butter after 6h raining on bike. This song was on and ask bartender info about the group. Wow, really many memories comes up everytime I heard it. I realy love them since then. Great job and best for future years!
