Deep-fried cookie batter is... probably still potential vendor snack fare with some cooking alterations. Some of the strictest diets fall in the face of a festival offering anything that so much as smells like it's been near high temprature oil. I'm pretty sure someone had a baseball fall in a fryer and promptly ate that sphere after the place cleaned up for the night.

Just a tip. After coating it, freeze it overnight then coat it again with breadcrumbs. Fry frozen.
