The problem with using anger to motivate yourself is, anger is temporary. It will go away eventually with that so will the gym motivation

i used to use forbidden pre, and the motivation barely lasted a month, and the constant reminder of my trauma wore me down even more. I realized that if a strong house is built on a weak foundation, it will eventually crumble away

I dont do it by looking at phone messages or shit like that. I do it by dipping into my memories of harrowing or fucked up incidents and how i feel about those. I live with PTSD. I use Cardio and weight lifting to cope with it. Ive somehow managed to train my brain to only let myself face my issues when I am exercising. I used to do that with drugs and alcohol. Now ive turned my experiences into gains. My head always calms down for awhile after a workout and i just feel normal again. My demons skip cardio day. Call it what you want but its honestly done alot more than any medication, drug, therapy has ever done to keep me together.

For me personally I love going to the gym and am very happy when I am there I go 5-6 times a week but when I’m occasionally angry or sad it’s great I get in a couple extra reps and usually stay at the gym longer too

"Anger and frustration are quick to give power, but they also unbalance you". Calm determination and motivation give much longer lasting strength than a quick burst of anger. Once you start relying on anger for strength, you will find yourself turning to anger in other areas of your life, and then all that physical strength will be worth nothing if you can't even control your own emotions.

I dont rely on Forbidden pre, if i get angry about something, then i find that the gym eases my emotions and how i feel, it doesn't numb or make them worse. So in a way its therapeutic
