Really liked your videos that captured the essence of Paris's Haussmannian beauty - and your choice of music to go with them! Hope you make it back to Paris again soon. Next time try to get tickets for a ballet at the Garnier Opera House, because just getting to see it inside and full of people is awesome.

Hi there,
Your video truly touched me. So, so beautiful from start to finish! A very well presented wee video & the French music
You looked lovely wearing your Chanel earrings & Dior hairpiece & to me, you come across as very authentic & you possess the sweetest & most joyful soul.
I love Paris with a vengeance & to see you there looking so cheerful & so thrilled, just made me smile from ear to ear.
Paris IMPO, is the true gem of Europe in so many ways, not to mention, it's grand cuisine was Europe's first & still is, one of Europe's finest.
Fun fact....Many European Chefs, from all over Europe, got most of their early training in Paris or other French regions, then took their skills back to their own countries, but for most, Paris was their primary teacher.
When I saw your wee room (bec rooms are quite small in Paris & across much of Continental Europe, specifically Central to Southern Europe) I was still wowed, as it's so very sweet & appeared very clean/modern too.
I have to say again, your face was just beaming/lit up, which was so wonderful to see. Yep, that's the true magic of Paris & it had this very same effect on me & all I've spoken to, when they first arrived there too.
I'm going to add a few things now, which I feel must be said & that is, that It's really funny with Paris, how you often hear people utter such awful & negative things about Paris & it's wonderful inhabitants.
I really think they cop it hard & bad @ times, but in truth, Paris is just another wonderful European city, inhabited by ordinary/normal peoples, yet they're so often, negatively picked on.
As the saying goes, you get the good & the not so good, everywhere within Europe & across the world, no exceptions there!
Interestingly, Paris is the world's most popular & most visited city, so it makes sense that the locals may be somewhat overwhelmed & even tired, specifically when spearheaded with over 37+ million annual tourists & with some uttering cruel & untrue comments, such as "French people & specifically, Parisian's are all pompous, arrogant & cold etc;".
It really isn't true.
I've visited numerous times & I spent many months there & for the most part, the French Parisian's were nothing but polite, friendly & behaved warmly toward my family & I. In many aspects, I felt very close to them & I could totally relate.
Also, the French/Parisians are not slow during service @ all, but they simply don't like to rush people through their lunch or dining experience. The French staff will never interfere unnecessarily, as they don't wish to pressure you & give the impression that you should leave asap. They see it as "rude" to approach the customer/diner, so they leave them be, until the person's ready to leave, then the person can approach staff, pay & finalise their dining experience.
It's all part of their culture & their relaxed views pertaining to the eating/dining experience.
I've been informed numerous times by locals, that for many French & Italian peoples, the dining experience can be time consuming, very laid back & relaxed & can take from 1 to 2 hours & sometimes even more. It's part of their wonderful & unique culture & it's a time to chill out, eat & actually taste, savour & enjoy what's being put into ones mouth & a time to gather one's thoughts.
I would strongly argue, that it's for the most part, the tourists who are rude, ill mannered & arrogant & head to Paris with pre-conceived ideas that aren't always favourable & this, is certainly not helpful, in helping to create a beautiful atmosphere during their time there.
Why?
Because they choose to visit Paris, then they get there & complain about many things.
The funniest one is some visitors, expect the French to speak English, instead of French in their own country, yet, these same visitors, have made not one effort to learn some basic French, as a sign of true respect toward the place/people they chose to visit in the first place. Also, some people expect the French to do everything their way & according to all of their needs & if their needs aren't met, they grow hostile & become critical.
Also & IMPO, I think that the pickpocketing comment is quite rife abound, but in truth, most major cities have pickpockets on the prowl. Paris, is no different to any other major city in this regard & the pickpockets in Paris are never violent or aggressive. They don't appear to be about any type of confrontation, but are more interested in something material & will work very discreetly & very quickly.
When visiting Paris, it's nice to keep an open mind & to just embrace & truly appreciate, all that is Paris & all that it has to offer its visitors.
I think some negative comments regarding Paris, are totally unfair & wrong, because when in Paris, do as the Parisian's do, just as when in Rome, do as the Roman's do. This rule of thumb ought apply, to any global city we choose to visit.
IMPO & funnily enough, I think the other group of people who criticise Paris, are those who've never been there personally, yet, have decided to go a hate rampage, or may even be jealous of such a stunning & very historically rich & vibrant city. Again, so cruel & so wrong & how sad for them, to carry around such hatred within their hearts/minds.
Finally, the biggest fallacy of all, is that Paris is very dirty & there's filth all over the streets, specifically dog poo to be found everywhere. Again, so not true whatsoever. On the contrary & actually, when my husband visited many times in the past, for both work & pleasure, he shared with me, that he'd see the street cleaners/sweepers come out daily & they'd also do doggy poop pick ups daily, then wash down/sanitise the foot paths/pavements & he witnessed this each day he was there.
There are however, some other European cities & some global cities, which are now gaining a reputation for being quite dirty, but IMPO & from what I've witnessed personally, Paris is definitely not one of them & certainly not to any degree, with which it's been said to be.
Thank you for sharing & I really enjoyed your wonderful wee video of Paris, the most beautiful & elegant European city of all!
